Love Letters to Marshall is a collaborative art installation made from messages, artwork and memories from our community.  Join us downtown for two days of art and joy, add to our reclaimed wheatpaste mural and read letters we have collected from our community.

The finished installation will be a showcase to our town's creative heart and just how how deeply we all love.

Dear Marshall,

The Letters Project

Leading up to the event, we are collecting community love letters to add to our installation.  All are invited to "send" a letter using our Love Letter Stations scattered around town.  Look for the bright, colorful painted mailboxes at these 3 locations:

  •   Zuma Coffee Truck

  • Marshall High Studios

  • Nanostead/Marshall Relief Alliance

We are asking for colorful additions of love notes, sweet memories, and positive messages.  Your letters will be worked into a vibrant display and shared for all to read during our Love Letters event.  We can't make this without your contributions.

The Wheatpaste Mural

Help us transform materials from rebuild into something beautiful.

The Wheatpaste Mural will be made over the course of two days, alongside the live art, performances, and more.  Each display is made from discarded construction materials from local buildings, transforming them into a canvas for a commemorative work of art.  Using just flour and water, wheatpaste has been used in street art for decades to share powerful messages and beautiful art with the world.  We will provide all materials and art supplies, and guide you through the wheatpasting process (it's easy!)  Let's share messages of inspiration, creativity, and community - together.
